First of all I took this course because of Steve and his incredible way to teach music theory and guitar technique. It's simple and clear, and always generous in term of content (even if we will always want more when the content is as good quality than that). I had some notions of tapping before the course, but my middle ring and pinky were weak and inconsistent, plus I didn't knew how to create melodies with tapping, that course gave me all that material to finally create my own riffs (especially with the chords + melody played at the same time). If you are looking to a course that can give you both theory and technique, for the tapping, in the unique math rock way, you are at the best place that exist. Thanks again for this course, and I can't wait for the others. Best. Sam.

Does this sound like you?

✅ Love math rock but struggle to learn how to play it/feel like it’s too difficult.

✅ Worried you’ll never master advance techniques like tapping and alternate tunings

✅ Feel like you’re not creative enough to write unique math rock songs

✅ Struggling to find math rock learning materials and it seems like there's no clear roadmap of what to learn

✅ You feel like you don’t have enough time to get better

You’re not alone…

Learning math rock took me over a decade, but for you, it could take just a few weeks.

I knew learning math rock guitar was going to be a challenge but nothing could have prepared me for how difficult it turned out to be…

I had no idea where to start or what to learn. There were no materials to guide me, and I was, at best, just past the beginner stage with a couple years experience under my belt.

My listening skills were terrible, and my music theory knowledge was non-existent, making this feel like an impossible task.

I spent countless hours searching the internet for information. When I did find tabs, they were almost always wrong, and trying to figure out what guitarists were playing from poorly shot phone footage online was impossible.

IT. TOOK. ME. YEARS

Looking back, I know I could have improved so much faster if I had the knowledge I have now, and that’s when I realized, if I could do this, then so could others.

But I didn’t want it to take them years to figure it out the hard way like I did.

So I turned my plan into a complete math rock roadmap for math rock beginners, and tested it with aspiring math rock learners.

And it works like this.

All they needed to do was two things:

  1. Learn simple concepts

  2. Integrate them into their playing

It’s such an easy system, but it got results because it focused on outputs rather than inputs like most generic guitar courses do.

This resulted in them making progress in a matter of weeks, not years.

So before I tell you the nitty gritty details of how you can do it too, check out these result guitarists got from going through the course:

I have been playing guitar for over 10 years and I have always found it to be difficult to write songs in alternative tuning. Especially if you want to write music in a specific genre like emo or math rock, there is just little information available on the Internet. I found "Let's Talk About Math Rock" channel to be one of the informative ones so I instantly signed up for the course when I saw an announcement. I would say the course fully satisfied my expectations. The FACGCE Module covers all necessary details that go into writing in this alternative tuning, including even how to set up your guitar to ensure the proper intonation. Before the course I found it hard to navigate around the fretboard in FACGCE, but after watching through course materials I can confidently find the right chords. At the end the course also provides several bonuses. I appreciate the downloadable materials which are useful as a quick reference and are great time savers! And I also really appreciate an opportunity to meet with Steve online after the course to discuss the questions related to the course and writing process. Overall I would really recommend this course both to beginners and experts interested in learning emo and math rock music.
